I really have a great time with these episodes. Loads of fun! Well that Ben Affled Accountant movie hasn't come out yet but as I was working on my animation the trailer was released. So I thought, I guess I should refrence that Accountant. Ha ha. Also when he pulls the gun barrel forward. He was actually supposed to be cleaning the gun and dismantling it, not cocking he gun. But due to time I just had him check it quickly with a cocking sound. Well I can't wait to start animating next months topic. Got some ideas going already for it.

i heard about the movie and then nothing else so i thought it already came out and then just flopped. yea i can't wait to see everyone's for this month I love the topic! and it was overwhelmingly voted in so that should mean something. great work! and always love the voicework haha

More fun as always. I'm glad you deciphered the Game Gear hidden gem in my Sonic Video. I thought that would be a nice nod to Sega since Sonic is always impatient anyways. Why not play some games? Funny enough, the game on the screen is actually True Lies. I put it on there cause we just did our 250th episode at that point which happened to be on True Lies. So that's the round about way of saying all that. Well keep up all the good times. Thanks again.

rubberonion responds:

haha i actually figured that out in real-time on the podcast, you heard it happen. I saved your last two episodes of the OMO podcast on my youtube app (I have Red) and played them when I was driving into the city this week. podcast buddies!

This was a fantastic interview! Great inspiration and tips. I checked out some of Robert Valley's Pear Cider and Cigarette work. Such a beautiful looking animation. I'll probably end up getting some of his books too.

the thing i was most impressed by was the story and presentation of the film, i really recommend it

Great episode. I really enjoyed you guys spending more time on each entry and making the whole show about the Battle Talk. Also on the shot that broke the 180. Which I apparently love to do. Must come from shooting music videos. Ha ha. But I actually had that one flipped the other way originally and then at the last second I relazied I drew the blue suit man reaching out with the wrong hand so I just 180 the image. Probably should have gone back in and flipped just him in Anime Studio but I think it was towards the end, so that's just how it goes. Also, you can listen to the Old Man Orange Podcast on ITunes, Google, Windows, Stitcher, Podbean, Podomatic and tons of other places other than Newgrounds. I always have links for other sites in the description. So spread that around, we just hit 250 episodes and a 4 year anniversary of the show. But other than that love all the fun on your podcast.

rubberonion responds:

I brought up soundcloud because I use it a lot but you do have to pay for it so it probably doesn't help. I'm subbing on iTunes! 250 episodes is amazing!!

2 great interviews. I'm also glad to hear more folks using Sony Vegas. A handful of years ago it felt like I was all alone using that software with no one to talk about it with. Ha ha.

rubberonion responds:

thanks! yea i use it to edit everything from just audio stuff like the podcast and soundtracks for cartoons and every video I do. i'm just so used to it haha

Great episode as always. And there is a previous Unloving Father animation I've got up on Newgrounds here. Also on the 180 rule. The kid is looking in the right direction cause the father is standing to the right of the screen. I really considered putting an extra shot in there to clarify it but that 15sec time frame kinda restricted me from putting either a side shot or over the shoulder. Ha ha. But thanks as always for the shout out.

rubberonion responds:

I see you point about where everyone is in relation to the room, but my point was about where you put the "camera" in that room. on the 180 rule, if you were to draw a line between the kid and the dad... the way you have it now, the shot of the kid has the camera on the one side of the line and the shot of the dad the camera is on the other side of that line. 180 rule says to keep the camera on the same side of the line. here's the video i made that i referred to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2XYDmhB8J4

hope it helps and i'm not coming off as a know-it-all dick haha i liked your entry! looking forward to the next one!

Great episode! Tons of inspiration, hilarious stories, and quite educational.

Adam's great and really open about his history... I love his career story! Also, check him out on Patreon (=

All 4 of these freelance animation podcasts where totally fantastic episodes. Learned a bunch of extra tips to put towards my own freelance business. I can't wait to hear some more of these episodes in the future. Thanks a ton for creating these.

rubberonion responds:

Glad you liked them they were a lot of work to put together but fun! There's also an ebook that you can get on the Patreon or buy (whenever the site gets updated haha)

Great episode full of laughs!

rubberonion responds:

Glad you dig it! Still looking for the Daredevil director's cut so I can fully enjoy your episode on it (=

Great voice over demo you got here. I like the anime feel to it all, could also work nice for commercials too. Keep it up.

I create the sitcom styled, slice of life comic book series, Pizza Boyz! Fueled with a retro loving party atmosphere in the multi-media world. And I record the Old Man Orange and Via VHS Podcasts. Full of movies, comics, gaming, interviews, & good times!
